@bluedude by looking at waitlist/appeal threads from last year, people were informed if they were not accepted.
I received an email to check my portal at 3:45 (similar email to our Apr 28 email).
Congrats to all those who got it, I heard they were rolling out decisions all week in order of last name hopefully more of here get some good news. Also I’m curious anyone admitted to poli sci? Go Bears!

@Orangered123 Sorry for the late reply, but I focused my essay on my passion for community-oriented design. It was 2 pronged; the first half focused on Berkeley’s Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation, and how their courses are unique in that they’re project-based and afford students hands-on experiences. I specifically cited a project done by Fall 2015’s DES INV 190-1 class (Critical Practices) that really inspired me. The latter half of my essay focused on a public design experiment I did in the previous apartment I lived in. I didn’t know any of my neighbors and I thought it’d be interesting to create something that would get people talking. I created this whiteboard installation in our apartment elevator, and it ended up fostering lots of interesting conversation. That installation prompted our building manager to create a FB page for our apt, and we even hosted some backyard BBQ’s! My essay was kinda unconventional but I thought it’d be an interesting supplement for what I wrote in my original app, which was how I’d utilize an interdisciplinary education in CogSci to build a strong foundation for a career in design.
So what do you think guys, was today a last day to get in ? Ps cs major here
@nikita1923666 I’m not sure because there is still a chance that more acceptances will be released throughout this week and those who were offered admission might even decline (which I am considering) and reopen spots. It’s just so hard for us to predict unless they explicitly say it’s over.
Yeah, judging from what the remainder of what everyone has been saying, I think today has been a L&S acceptance. Looks like nothing yet from College of Natural Sciences, there still is a chance.
@BlackDragon209 wow, are you actually appealing as computer science major? If so, the appealing and waitlist may be in the same pool since me and another cs guy didn’t get any message as waitlist students.
So my friend and I got accepted today, my last name was E and hers was Q. She didn’t write an opt-in essay if that gives anyone extra info. I did write an opt-in essay.

Congrats to everyone who got in!!! I’m assuming today is the last day, in that case I guess it’s another year of CC for me 
Like people have already mentioned, judging by the those who posted that they got in today, it seems like all were L&S students. This is confirmed by a person who I know that also got in today who isn’t on College Confidential and she is also a L&S major. I searched twitter, IG, and other socials to see if anyone posted anything today and the few I found were also L&S majors. Unless all non L&S majors that got in are lurkers or not on CC at all, then this seems to be the case.
Not to give people false hope, but there is still a chance that decisions are still rolling depending on major. I personally feel skeptical and have kind of accepted I didn’t make the cut (although I’m not a L&S major), but hey who knows!
