UC Davis Change of Major

Hello Sir,
I have been selected for UC Davis for proposed major for biomedical inspite of my application for CS. So what i wanted to know is it possible to accept this and after joining try to change to CS and what are the chances that i will get the CS.
Also i have gone through their requirements for changing majors what i personally wanted to to know, is it possible to take the classes as required for CS as i have read that the classes are mostly full and seats are not available, also how hard are this classes to do.

The best way to get your questions answered is to email or call the CS department and ask how easy it is to switch majors and the ability to get the CS classes.

I’m not sure where you read that the classes are mostly full and not available. Students have not registered for fall quarter yet.

Are you looking at this list of courses? https://cs.ucdavis.edu/undergraduate/non-majors/changing-majors-double-majors

There are currently 35 sections of MAT21A with an average of 40 open seats in each section. Any student with any major can take MAT21A if they meet the math placement criteria https://www.math.ucdavis.edu/undergrad/math_placement/

ECS 20 requires that you pass MAT21A first. There are no major restrictions on who can take the course.
