Reflection
Strengths: First-Generation Student with notable accomplishments, undoubtedly one of the best line-up of extracurriculars in my school, scores were on-par or above admitted range, and my essays described my passion to change the way we perceive the world, founding my educational business, and my struggles as a first-gen student growing up in one of the most competitive places in the world– The Bay Area and Silicon Valley.
Weaknesses: I kinda think my lack of AP scores, Subject tests, and my unweighted GPA could have been better. But hey, they aren’t indicators of success!
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I personally think just being first-gen and having my scores got me in, that and stellar ECs and possibly good essays.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected:
- Accepted: Baylor University
- Waiting: UCLA, UCSD, UCB, Harvard, Cornell, Yale, Stanford, Dartmouth, Brown, UPenn
General Comments: I wish everyone the best of luck! You will find somewhere that you will love and enjoy with every ounce of your soul, have faith in yourself and never give up! Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted, good luck to everyone who got waitlisted, and keep looking up and pushing forward for everyone who unfortunately got rejected. All the best.
