UC Davis Double Major

It is going to be my second year in community college soon, and I am currently at a crossroad. I originally planned on transferring to UC Davis with a major in Economics but now I have considered in double majoring in Computer Science as well.

As a transfer student, will this be extra difficult? And if so, why?

Some of the courses overlap so I feel it is a good fit.

The problem is, I won't be able to meet all the prerequisites for Computer Science if I plan on transferring within a total of 2 years at a CC.

The main question is, will I have to complete all my prerequisites for both majors at community college before I transfer? If not, will I have to do them at UC Davis? Or Will IGETC satisfy my prerequisites.

Here is some info that may help.

PREREQUISITE ECON

ASSIST Report: OCC 12-13 UCD Articulation Agreement by Major.

PREREQUISITE COMPUTER SCIENCE

ASSIST Report: OCC 12-13 UCD Articulation Agreement by Major.

Thank you in advance for any input for a stressed out transfer student.

You might want to look at the actual degree requirements because a mix like that sounds like it would take more than 2 yrs at Davis to complete.

Hmm… that was what I was thinking. Although I will try hard to get it done in two years, I definitely don’t want to limit myself to only two years, so three is fine.

Also, my link for Economics was wrong.

[UC Davis General Catalog | Economics | The Program](http://catalog.ucdavis.edu/programs/ECN/ECNreqt.html)

So the total unit count for econ would only be 64

And hold up, what do you mean by degree requirements? Does that not mean the same thing as meeting the requirements for my major?

No, the latest link you posted is the degree requirements, I would look at both to see how bad it would be.
