Son is ACCEPTED for Psychology! How can you see your financial aid award? It looks like you need a UCD Student number- do you have to SIR to get that?
Good luck with your decisions everyone!
My award says this about work-study.
We have identified you as a student who may be eligible for Work-Study.
The Work-Study Eligibility Certificate will be available starting in June.
Accepted!

Now just a week until UCB releases their decisions!!
@wecandothis Every UCD applicant gets assigned a Student ID number, and you do not have to SIR to get one.
Did anyone else get a large university grant? I’m surprised my tuition is covered
@futureuctransfer mine is too!
@FT6325 isn’t that a relief? I was so worried about how I was going to pay tuition. I’m super happy
Just for an idea, what would you guys consider a large grant?
Mine was a little more than 15,000, I think it’s large because it covers tuition.
Oh and the pell grant which is a little more than 5,000
when do we ave to accept the award by?
I forgot, but I did see a date on the website on the award page
@FutureTransfer same University Grant here for my son- he already liked Davis before the nice grant, but was also considering UCSB- and Davis gave more aid. Going to be a had choice. Psychology major.
*hard choice, sorry my eyes are crossing from trying to compare aid offers ^:)^
For all of you that have received generous financial aid offers, does it say that your remaining cost is 0 or something ?
Same here I’m a psych major as well. Now I’m lastly waiting on UCB next week
I’M IN!!
Sociology Major here!!!
as far as aid- I am on UC student # 2. My daughter graduated from UCB in 2011 and son is now on his way as a transfer to either UCD or UCSB.
In evaluating aid offer, I ask how much “free” money are they giving us and calculate what our out of pocket costs would be. I don’t consider a loan as anything to get excited about. Got daughter thru Cal with no loans and hope to do the same with son.
The tricky part of the equation for me for comparing Davis or UCSB is estimating housing and food costs. The COA estimates are written totally differently for the two schools. The UCSB one specifies “on campus” housing- I think they have nice apartments on campus which are guaranteed for two years for transfers?
@ddhh2002 does it say that on your MyAwards? I guess I didn’t qualify for work study then…
@plebsunite yeah my remaining cost says 0.
