<p>Hey, I'm deciding about whether to attend UCD or SLO next year majoring in computer science. I've heard good and bad things about both schools and I often hear people debating over which is the better school in terms of CS. From my understanding they are pretty similar education-wise so I want to know more about the lifestyle of each.</p>
<p>Could someone give me insight on the lifestyle of each school? Which do you think is nicer all around? Which is better for partying? etc..</p>
<p>Also, if anyone is in the CS department at either, could you tell me what it's like?</p>

<p>SLO is a party town and is more hands on where as Davis is more research. Can’t go wrong with either one.</p>
<p>I love both! I got waitlisted by UCD but if they accepted me I’m not sure if I’d pass up SLO…</p>
<p>For what you want to do, SLO seems better suited. I know UCD is a huge school, and the people seem really fun, relaxed, but also ambitious. I do think SLO will be more conservative and have mostly white students, if that means anything to you. As far as parties go, I wouldn’t know about that. SLO has the beach and hiking, whereas Davis is a college town so you’ll need to drive somewhere. The food at UCD is great, though!</p>
