On the UC Davis TAG acceptance decision form it states: " You must maintain a GPA of 3.20 or higher for all UC-transferable units taken prior to transfer enrollment."

Does this mean that my GPA for all units taken from Fall 2012 to Spring 2013 must keep my GPA above 3.20? Specifically, if my GPA drops below 3.20 because of my Fall 2012 grades, but goes up above 3.20 again because of my Spring 2013 grades, is my TAG still valid?

The TAG decision form mentions spring 2013 in the next sentences: "All courses in progress/planned, in addition to the required courses noted below, must be completed with grades of "C" or higher, unless otherwise specified, by the end of your spring 2013 term. To achieve the minimum overall UC-transferable grade point average required, you may need to achieve higher than "C" grades.", but does it mean OVERALL from Fall 2012 to Spring 2013, or each quarter specifically? Thanks.

I was told that it has to be 3.20 overall from Fall 2012 until Spring 2013, so I don’t think your example of falling below a 3.20 and then raising it back up to a 3.20 would work.

I do not think you can fall under the 3.2 at any point. Looking at what the approved tag specifically states:

So UC Davis tells you your GPA and basically says maintain a 3.2+ the rest of the way. I do think you can get under 3.2 for a specific semester as long as your overall UC GPA is still 3.2+. For ex. lets say your only class in the Spring is Calculus and you get a B. Technically thats a 3.0 but as long as you still have a 3.2+ after the B you should be okay.

UC Davis rep would definitely know more about this than I.

haha my bad, i am on the semester system, so I only have fall/spring, but yeah definitely call your rep. Emprex is repeating what I’ve been told as well

I haven’t had much luck when it comes to emailing their TAG reps either. Try calling the admissions office again, and hope you get a different person.

@alpha: okay i don’t think it matters since it is just a general TAG question, but my rep is usually quick with her responses, so email parueca@ucdavis.edu about your situation.
