Hello everyone,
I sent in my TAG to UC Davis declared major of Electrically Engineering with the GPA of 3.36. I have passed all the requirements of TAG for UC Davis and will complete my required classes by end of spring. However, my physics professor from spring LAST YEAR recently fixed my B grade into an A, which changed my GPA to a 3.43. I haven’t sent in my UC application yet. So my question is, how would I go about changing my GPA, since it’s different now. I’m planning to change my grade on the UC applications, but was wondering if the different GPA on the UC application and TAG affect my acceptance with TAG, even though it should be accepted with the old GPA.
There’s no way to notify your TAG, especially since decisions will be coming out this weekend. Just send in your application with the new grade. It won’t affect your TAG.
What is the minimum requirement for UCD TAG? I’m guessing it’s less than 3.36? If you’ve already met the threshold GPA, and you’ve completed all the requirements, then you will be admitted.
You should put in the new grade in the actual application, and mention that your professor changed your grade in the additional comments section. Explain that this occurred after you submitted your TAG, to clear up the discrepancy between the two grades. You’ll send in your transcripts, and that will be the final (and authoritative) record of your academics. That will clear any ambiguity - but you should still talk about it in your additional comments section.
He needs a 3.3 for Engineering so he’s good.
