UC Davis TAG

It’s my first time on this site, and I’m not sure if anyone has asked this already, but I’m trying to do the TAG program for UC Davis. I heard it’s really hard to get into engineering there so I was wondering if I could apply to the biosci college and switch my major from there. And I was also wondering if I should wait to submit my TAG application because right now my gpa is at a 2.8, I believe, but after this semester, it’ll be at a 3.1. I feel like my gpa is super low, and I have no chance of getting in.

update: my gpa right now is 2.96, and after this semester 3.2

To TAG into Biology or any major except Engineering, you need a 3.2 GPA requirement that must be met by end of summer 2018 and maintained through spring 2019 so you do not qualify.

To change to Engineering: For all students who matriculated to UC Davis as transfer students:
-Be a registered student and have completed at least one quarter (minimum of 12 units) at UC Davis
-Have completed not more than 135 cumulative units (excluding AP units); students who have completed more than 135 units will considered on an appeal basis only
-Be in good academic standing and meet minimum progress requirements
-Have received a letter grade for all courses that satisfy Engineering degree requirements
-Have completed all transfer admission coursework and GPA requirements for the intended major (see https://www.ucdavis.edu/admissions/transfer/major-requirements-college-engineering for details). For students who have not completed all transfer admission requirements at their previous institution, they must earn a 2.000 GPA or higher in these remaining courses at UC Davis, and receive a C- or better in each of these courses. For Mechanical Engineering, a 2.800 UC GPA or higher is required
-Have no grade lower than a C- in any completed engineering course required for your intended major(s) taken at UC Davis
-Have a 2.000 UC GPA or higher in completed engineering courses. For Mechanical Engineering, must have a 2.800 UC GPA or higher in completed engineering courses

You can TAG to UCSC,UCR or UCM.
