@callieaustin is clinical nutrition and i am nutrition science. @lolajoe
@roslyn I’m pretty sure they save rejections for the end so that’s why I’m freaking out. I had a feeling this would happen but I was always hopeful that I could possibly get in. I don’t get why they’re not releasing all of the decisions at once. @lolajoe what’s your major and your GPA and stuff?
i heard the same thing. which is also why i am flipping out. i was also extremely hopeful that it might be possible. i mean, especially you since you have such a good profile. and are from cal poly. i also agree, they should all be released at the same time… would you appeal? @callieaustin
Aw thanks that’s really sweet of you to say! We are literally in the exact same position. I would absolutely appeal. I’m not even sure how to do that @roslyn
i think they will give us more info on appealing once they officially give us our decision. @callieaustin and yep i mean i personally think you should believe in yourself more!
I’ll do my best! You should stay positive too! And if worst comes to worst, we’re only sophomores and we always have next year. @roslyn
@roslyn and @callieaustin don’t loose hope I’m clinging by the last thread. I’m also a clinical nutrition major but I’m a junior transfer. I called and they told me it might just be a glitch . the lady I spoke to told me that they would be releasing another wave of wait list responses seven days from the first. they should be released by Tuesday if I’m correct?
within those days, yes. goodness this is a nightmare so nothing will be released today i am assuming… @lolajoe
i just find it a little unfair that they would tell one person that all decisions would be out this week and then be inconsistent and tell someone else that they are releasing in waves by week. @lolajoe @callieaustin
I totally agree. I’ve been waiting for this decision for 8 months. I’m constantly stressed about it. They should tell us all at once. @roslyn @lolajoe
I got into the waitlist at UCD.
Haven’t heard anything.
Major:Computer Science
GPA:3.51
Has anyone with my same major got in yet?
I was accepted yesterday
Major: Electrical Engineering
GPA: 3.6
Pre-reqs: all done
TAG: no
IGETC: yes
^ Here lies my hopes and dreams
I was admitted off of the waitlist as a sophomore transfer for human development yesterday evening. I currently attend another UC, but I’m overjoyed by this news! Good luck, folks!
A couple of things might give hints if you’re still being considered. One is to check the “appeal” form site, with those still in the running having a “Sorry, only non-admitted students can appeal” (others get the appeal form). Also, I’m not sure if this means anything, but the registration status on SISWEB said I had no holds and a good status for registration several days before I heard. I didn’t apply for financial aide, but some people claim to have seen a status change on their awards site. Hope this helps, because I know waiting can be so hard. Unless you are told no, admissions will be pulling from the waitlist all through June depending on the SIRs. Hang in there!!
@DavisCowsRule Is the appeals thing true or just speculation?
Also I was able to look at courses at SISWEB and i tried registering for elementary algebra (Randomly picked course), and it said “If this course is closed to registration, and waitlisting is an option, would you like to waitlist for this course?”. I can see all of the classes. Is this a good sign or can everyone see it?
@Severin Some people back in April had the “sorry” message and were either admitted or waitlisted. Some had the form pop up, and they were rejected. I had the “sorry” message two days before my acceptance, the first time I checked.
@Severin I also looked through the offered Fall classes before being admitted. Before UCD used the class finder on SISWEB and the new Schedule Builder, they always used to post an open course list online that anyone could access. But, it sure seems like a good sign that you can go into SISWEB and check out potential courses. UCD could be admitting people all through the month.
As far as I know Davis doesn’t allow waitlisted people to appeal. you can only appeal if you’re rejected. But I’m not quite sure about it.
