UC Davis Transfer 2016 Waitlist Thread

Just called the school: the rep I spoke with stated that the first two waves of acceptances have been sent out to transfer students on the wait list. They are delaying on the third wave…

I’m a bit confused about how they sent out two waves already, when we’re only 8 days through the month… Unless they sent out acceptances on the 1st?

Regardless, I’m going to assume that I’ve been rejected at this point.

Has anyone heard back from Davis whether or not they got accepted?

@Mbest16 Do you know when exactly they sent the 2 waves? This is confusing… Everyone is getting different answers from the admin office.

@Mbest16 I don’t think that’s accurate. got that response when called on Monday then I called back and another women told me information was incorrect… Plus it’d be impossible to have already sent out two waves seeing as how they do it every 7 days or more and it’s only the 8th.

@Mbest16 Speaking for my other here. He’s also on the waitlist. I decided to call them again today and they actually said that they released the first two waves of FRESHMEN already. not transfer. they will let us know either by the end of the week or starting monday for sure.

Thanks @TheLlamaRider! The stress is real.

I’ve been getting the same answers from the admissions actually. Let’s get this clear: 1) freshmen were barely and are still getting notified from their waitlist. They’ll be first before the transfer. 2) They’re still trying to get the transfer waitlist determined because they barely started this week. So if they hurry up fast enough they’ll finish by Friday. If not next week. 3) They will release in waves and dependent on your major. If it’s anything like the school I’m in then it will be each department chair that you’ve applied to that has to deal your waitlist. Not the admissions board themselves. 4) It might be like 2015 where all the accepted were in the first wave and all the rejected were in the second wave OR it might be like 2014 where all the rejected were in the first wave and all the accepted were in the second wave. Conclusion: I am incredibly disappointed by the inaccurate dates that they’ve been giving everyone. If they were going to take a whole month after SIR date then they should say so, because stating something like “we’ll let you know after June 1st!” rather than “we’ll let you know before July 1st!” is a different meaning. Let’s everyone off of their anxiety and let’s them focus on other things in case they do no get into Davis. Sorry went off on a little rant. Regardless, don’t lose hope if you’re not in the first wave because for all you know it might be completely mixed this year. I’m hopeful my partner will get in and I also hope the best for all of you!

My page on UC Davis’s My Admissions looks different. Anyone else’s?

Yeah same here. It looks like it’s the same page used before we got the waitlist decision which is weird. Maybe they’re finally going through all of ours and prepping the website for decisions?

@123coco457 same here. It removed the waitlist message and replaced it with the original message that we got when we first sent in apps. It’s stating that I’ll get a notice “late April”. I hope this means they’re finally looking at waitlisted students.

Weird, mine is still the same as it has been since the wailist offer.

Mine changed too

mines also changed

Did anyone else’s not change?

Mine didn’t chang.

I’m not sure if that is a good sign or bad sign. Either way I’m going to grab a couple beers and start drinking because the more I think about this waitlist, I am one step away from enjoying my summer!

8-}

@Cbr600rr I’m right there with you dude

Mine Changed… I hope that is a good thing. Either way I’ve decided to not stress about it and also drink some beers… lol. I’ve also committed to riding my zx6r as much as possible and just letting this happen as it may. (I really really wanna get in though.)

@h2oislife and @urallsad… If you guys don’t mind me asking, what are your guy’s majors and stats?
