I don’t think Davis was ever known for CS.
I didn’t say they were known for CS, I just said that they are well ranked and that they are close to silicon valley.
@calculunch Im a tranfer CS major from a CC, not a freshman, but i do hear its tough to get into davis with that.

CS major 3.6 GPA haven’t heard back
I am cs major too. It seems that Davis is not getting any cs major off of the waitlist ever. If you check the 2015, all the people who got rejected are cs major. Even Alex grandma got in with gpa of -1.0 in biochem major , but not any cs major.
No one from ag science got their acceptances/denies yet. So I don’t think the next wave would be denies. I’m a sophomore nutrition science major and I’m still waiting to hear back.
My situation is very particular.
Accepted as a 4th year UC to UC transfer.
UC Riverside to UC Davis
Major: Economics
GPA: 2.9 Community College / 3.9 UCR
My dream was to go to UC Davis after having a sub 2.0 GPA at community college for the longest time ( I am currently 26). I got my grades together and managed to get on the waitlist last year, but was not admitted. I tried again this year and got waitlisted again :-S. I managed to keep my UCR GPA high and wrote a pretty good waitlist statement. And now FINALLY I am in under these weird circumstances of being a 4th year.

@Mbest16 Cool. I’ll probably get my application revoked though because I dropped Calculus 1 and got put on probation 1. But I’m not that upset about it though because Calculus was really difficult for me so it was to either drop it or get an F. So I decided to drop it. I did talk to someone about getting it removed because I had plan to retake it and I have a high GPA. But we’ll just have to see how that works out. Better luck next year for me. I’m changing my major to Clinical Nutrition.

I got 2 f**king Ds in chem and bio so they’re probably going to rescind it. Please no hate I’m already beating myself up over it.
So, my question is, the deadline for SIR is June 16. May I submit my SIR even though I’m not sure if they’re still going to take me? I turned in my updated grades but it can be up to a week or more for them to tell me their decision. Thanks guys.
@lilgemini : If you SIR and then get rescinded, you will lose your deposit. If this is not an issue, then go ahead and SIR.
