My parent’s live on the west coast (kinda like to stay here, but I’m up to making a change)

I like the idea of living in a campus bubble, but I heard NYC is worth the sacrifice.

I’m leaning towards NYU mainly for the better prestige and better community/more intelligent kids…but I’m really unsure about spending more money for it.

I don’t know!!! Are they about the same in terms of ^^??? What do you guys think? Help! Im dying over here!

I personally would pick UC Davis. NYU has no campus and no school spirit. It’s also located in the largest city in the US, which to me isn’t a very good college atmosphere. I prefer spending my undergraduate years in a genuine college town with a distinct (and beautiful) campus. However, some people would prefer living in a large city as an undergrad, so go where you’d feel more comfortable.

Another thing to keep in mind is cost. I personally don’t think NYU is worth $40,000 more (I’m assuming you meant $10,000 per year.) Also, at UC Davis you will move off campus after your freshman year (assuming you don’t live in the overpriced on campus apartments.) This will lower your cost significantly; I’ll be paying about half as much I do for the dorms, and I’m going from a triple to a double. At NYU, you’ll either be in expensive dorms or expensive off-campus housing. Also, flying to and from New York is going to get very expensive.
