Crap I didn’t even realize it was per semester. Yes I did get into SLO
@conflictedbean
My daughter is a CSU transfer who was accepted into both UNR with WUE and UCD. Don’t let anyone confuse you - the total cost of attending SLO is virtually identical to the cost of attending UNR with WUE. Look at the links below. UNR total nonresident cost with WUE is slightly more but the cost of living in San Luis Obispo coastal area is higher.
We looked at the total expenses carefully - any UC cost is considerably higher than both UNR with WUE or CSU.
Some UNR students are opting out of campus residence and just rent. Rentals have shuttle buses to the campus. Students don’t have to have a car.
My daughter will most likely go to UNR. We visited UNR recently, were really impressed - you can dm me if you have questions.

my son was also admitted to UNR under WUE this year. They offer the different awards based on GPA and test scores - Nevada Advantage and WUE, my recollection is that the Nevada Advantage recipients pay about $11k and and WUE qualified applicants pay about $8k for tuition. My other son is a graduating Sr at Chico. I have the cancelled checks for Chico tuition and looked closely at the cost - of UNR - they are within $100 a semester for tuition. The cost of living in Chico and Reno is comparable. Davis and SLO are substantially more expensive for rent than either Reno or Chico.
We have a few neighbors with students at UNR and they validated there are no hidden fees or gotcha behind their headline number.
