@BarbellBrigade same here buddy. put on ur coat, its gonna get cold soldier
@Cynntrigg hey did you find out how to send the Hep B immunity statement? I’m having the same problem. Also how are you guys sending your 2015 ap scores? I put down UCI on my answer sheet since I was still on the UCD waitlist now I have no idea how UCD will be able to get my scores. To top it all off, UCD ap score deadline is the 1st of July and our scores are released the 10th of July here in California. PLEASE HELP.
@thatEEatUCD Hey! Yes I did find out how to send the Hepatitis B immunization form. Go to the important dates and deadlines page, and scroll down to May or June i forgot which but it will be listed. It will take you to another page and you have to mail or fax a copy of your immunization history to the following:
Student Health and Counseling Services
One Shields Avenue
Davis, CA 95616
Fax : (530) 752-3313
& about the AP scores. I had the same problem dont worry! During AP testing i was still on the waitlist and i put UCSC as my school but if u kept your AP student handbook, there is a form in the back cover and you can change the school that you want to receive your scores- they will send all of your scores. If you dont have your book, you can go online to collegeboard. However, make sure you do this ASAP because there is a deadline! I did it as soon as i found out i was in, so i dont remember the date.
Also! Dont forget the deadline to send your hs transcripts is July 1st. You can use parchment.com for that… I hope I answered everything. I will be out of the country until the first week of July before Orientation , but i will try to log back on.
Best of luck to all the people who are still waiting to hear good news!
For transfer wait list, I was accepted on June 3rd as a Political Science Major with an emphasis in Economic and Foreign Policy. June 31st is the last day for all transfer wait list applicants.
For those still waiting, walk by faith not by sight.
@thatEEatUCD Found this on the College Board website. Hope this eases your mind a little bit.
Can I rush send my scores to colleges and universities?
If you did not select a college or university to receive your scores on your AP answer sheet, and the institution requires AP scores by July 15, we encourage you to send your score report as soon as you gain access to your 2015 scores. From July 6 through July 15 all orders will be processed as a rush delivery but charged a reduced delivery fee of $15 instead of $25.
@12345ca Here’s the news from capitol that corroborates your statement - apparently this has to be decided by Monday - but what I am not clear about is if it helps this year.
Gov. Jerry Brown and his fellow Democrats in the Legislature continue to negotiate on several items in the California state budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1. Any plan has to be passed by Monday, the constitutional deadline for the Legislature to act, with more budget legislation likely before the fiscal year’s start. A joint legislative budget-writing committee finished its work late Tuesday.
Here are the main differences of opinion between Brown and lawmakers on some key outstanding questions:

How much should UC get?
Overview: UC moved to raise fees last fall, angering lawmakers and setting off months of private talks between Brown and UC President Janet Napolitano. UC ultimately agreed to a two-year tuition freeze for in-state students and a pension overhaul. It is up to the Legislature to approve the deal.
Governor: Brown agreed the state would increase UC’s base funding by $119.5 million in the coming year.
Legislature: Increases UC funding $25 million above the governor’s proposal, with that money contingent on several conditions, such as UC moving to increase enrollment by 5,000 in-state students by 2016-17 and that UC will not raise residential tuition in the next two years.

feel free to write to the editor of the article enlisting his help to dig into this - at a minimum there needs to be a closure

Does this mean that uc’s are likely to admit more freshmen off their wait lists?
@darnwaitlist Yes, they are going to vote on Monday but then the governor has to sign it. All the UC’s are frozen vis a vis the waitlist for incoming freshman until afterward, and they are all most likely going to take in more people from the waitlist, but I have no idea how many. The other UC’s have changed the date to notify waitlisted people to June 15, July 1 or later, but Davis hasn’t communicated anything.
@ genieforuboi Legislature:Increases UC funding $25 million above the governor’s proposal, with that money contingent on several conditions, such as UC moving to increase enrollment by 5,000 in-state students by 2016-17 and that UC will not raise residential tuition in the next two years.
The way I am interpreting is that if the Legislature proposal is passed - UC’s get $25 Mil - and they have to take on another 5000 in-state’s. What I don’t get is whether that’s for 2015-2016 or 2016-2017. I wrote to the editor and pointed him to this thread - to see if he can dig in and get some clarification. If more of you who are waiting write to him, he may be able to dig around and get a better answer from UCD - is my home
@darnwaitlist FYI:

From it: The University is still determining its capacity to admit any additional students for the coming fall term. Campuses will continue to hold onto waitlists until sometime over the summer. Because of the uncertainty, UC encourages students who have already received an offer of admission at another institution or UC campus to continue with their plans to attend elsewhere.
fck, so when are the UC’s (specifically davis) letting wait listed freshmen know if they made it or not?
Today the news is saying the budget will NOT be passed on Monday. The State Assembly wants to give the UC’s more money but they have to have more in-state students. UC says no to more Calfiornia students. Brown says more in-state student but no more money.

From LA Times: Napolitano said that even with an increased budget, they are only going to take a few hundred off the waitlist across the UC schools. She said it was too late for this year. She said that the increased student numbers would go into effect for the 2016 year.

Very convenient for these politicians an ex-politicians to be playing games with kids lifes - I wonder what her attitude would have been if she had kids after having parents who paid into funding the public schools for the last 30 years only to realize the children cannot avail of it because someone was playing games. If she was going to play games - she should have planned for both sides - seems like she planned well for the worst case (i.e. no more extra funding by putting a bunch of kids on wait list only to raise their hope and then CRUSH them with this kind of CRAP) and for the situation where there is extra funding -she has some lame excuse - “oh it’s too late - we will take care of it next year” - if this is the best the UC administration can do - god help California and the UC’s. Governer Brown should not release any funding till Napolitano commits to taking the extra 5000 kids this year.
I know. I hope they fire her.
They are seriously ridiculous. It’s so annoying how they just stringed us all along and the majority of us won’t even get in. Regardless I was admitted to UCSD Friday and I submitted my SIR today. I’m not willing to lose a spot at SD for a shot in the dark here. I would have loved to go to Davis but due to the circumstances I’d rather opt for a different path. . Best of luck to you all. Don’t throw away other opportunities waiting for a decision! I’ll let you guys know if I’m admitted in the next two weeks.
SJMN - didn’t say next year - hopefully UC’s will reconsider and try to be creative about taking as many kids on waiting list
To avoid a tuition hike for University of California students that was scheduled to take effect later this year, Brown agreed to provide temporary assistance to the University of California to help pay down its unfunded pension liability.
Under the spending plan approved by lawmakers, UC would get an additional $25 million, so long as administrators promise to enroll 5,000 more California students and cap enrollment of out-of-state students over the next two years. CSU would get $70 million more than Brown had promised.
