UC decision dates...

that is true that you are paying the same price as the people attending cal and ucla, however, you, being at SD and majoring in biochem (or something to that nature - i forgot!) are getting a very good education nonetheless. A degree at SD is very valuable and honestly, if you're driven you will be successful at any school you choose. It might take longer, or more work but you will make it. I know that there are many other reasons why we want to transfer, some academic, some non academic and seemingly trivial. All I know is that I will be more enriched academically and socially somewhere else. As shallow as it sounds, I want the prestige of going to a better school, i'm sick of all the crap that my school gets even though I diss it to. Anyways, i'm confident that you will get into Cal or i'll march up to their office and slap some sense into them.

We've reached 200 posts. This thing could be huge by the time decisions come around.

lol... yeah here comes 201!!! Keep rolling... and rocking... :D Nice descriptions about the schools... How about UCI, UCB and and UCR social life?

not to forget we lost some of our thread due to technical dificulties...

Keep counting it down for us.

Yep 2-3 pages were deleted but that does not stop our progress haahhah :D the admission decision date is coming soon... how do you all feel about it? Excited, nervous... crazy... whatever? :D

the hardest part is being motivated for this semester's classes...

I am concerned about my winter class. Not really focused on UC adm, although I am thinking about what will I do if UCLA doesn't accept me...

Although I am begining to hate cc more each day i stay there. mostly b/c it's so antisocial and i often feel very bored... lol

I'm experiencing the opposite of highschoolda possibly. I'm very excited about the many things I'm working on, on campus. And I'm also motivated for the classes, almost more than before, because I can actually relax and fully indulge in learning without a few of the intense pressures.

has anyone sat in a class at berkeley before?

UCLA and UCB(97 days to go)...

UCSD and UCSB(50 days to go)...

oh yeah... It is more relaxing these days... no more pressure of getting A and i'm enjoying the rest half year at my community college... i actually like it here and i will definitely miss it when i transfer to a university because i have made so many friends here and the professors are very helpful... I have seen 3.8+ students in my math and science classes and we often see each others frequently (because we often register for the same courses and there are few 2-10 available courses for math and science) so it is kind of cool; we receive encouragement and motivation from one another too!

highschoolda, what classes are you taking for winter intersession? On another note, I just realized that I have not seen you on campus lately. hehe. How odd.

Hey nikkei, i am taking anatomy during the winter session. It's 3.5 hrs a day every day. It was a mistake for sure. too much info to memorize in such small amount of time. I am pretty confident i could have pulled out an A in it that had i taken it in a regular semster. Now, it's not looking that way....

SMC is pretty dead in the winter. But at least it's not overcrowded.

How is ur winter going?

oh.. i assume "you" to be plural and "you" refers to everyone here....

So yeah, my winter is fine... taking Philsophy (critical thinking) and Psychology (developmental psychology through lifespan) and the pace is 2-4 chapters every week for each course so I have been reading a lot but the materials are interesting! I recommend these two courses to everyone who likes studying!

hey high schoolda, i feel you! i took an anatomy course like that....so much info...but luckily with the way my memory works, i was able to memorize enough to get an A in a relatively short amount of time...but still i feel your stress though...ugh haha

Spring semester for me is going slow...I just want to transfer right now! Luckily, I have Biology1B, Government 1, Art History1 and Physics to keep me occupied until the final day. ^_^

darn it... i'm addicted to this CC discucsion forum now... see, I visit this website right after i finish my school day and i do not even start my homework yet ahhaahah

that's not so bad Kev, I log onto cc during class!

j/k, but I'm sure there are people who do ^_^

yup like me right after i check my email hahaha.

hahahahaha... you are even more addicted to this forum than i am ... you actually visit this forum during class? LoL,how cool/!
