UC decision dates...

sure you want to get in (because of pride) but you sure as heck don't wanna attend!

hahah hobofromdt, actually no matter what happens with the other UCs, I'd most definitely consider UCR...Since it is the only UC with a pure creative writing program and that type of program is geared closer to what I want to be doing with my life. I would put UCR high on my list if they were only to give me some sort of financial aid or a small scholarship or something.

eh, you'll get aid + scholarship... but yeah, consider your other options.

why do you say i'll get the FA + scholarship hobofromdt?

UCR will probably be generous in giving out FA and scholarships.

wowzers. I had no idea...Would they also announce if you got a scholarship or not tonight with the decisions info?

I'm not sure the decisions will actually be coming out tomorrow. Your financial/scholarships info could be ready depending on when you submitted the FAFSA, etc.

i should have applied to ucr since they release their decisions at such a good time. lol

I didn't apply for FAFSA snap...would i still be up for consideration for pure merit scholarships?

T-Minus less seven hours until UCR decisions come out...

Dude, you have a couple days left to file a FAFSA. Go online or fill out the form and get it postmarked by March 2. Trust me, you should do it.

dang chunkphat is my hero..what ccc do you go to and does this mean you're goin to go to berk?

CardinalFocused, I'm glad you aren't just discounting actually going to UCR. The creative writing programs is solid. One of UCR's most famous alums, Billy Collins (Poet Laureate.of the US) majored in creative writing at UCR. The campus has some great features that people aren't aware of or ignore. Generally, UCR and Riverside are over criticized and underrated.

Chunkphat got the UC Regents for UCLA. Berkeley hasn't sent anything out with theirs as far as I know.

i have alot of respect for you gabe so I am going to do the FAFSA. Does anyone have the link and do you guys have tips on how to fill it out as fast as possible? Last time, I remembered, it took a couple days to just get the pin needed to fill out the FAFSA...So will I still have time?

screw the pin, i forgot the challenge question and the fricking site deactivated it....applied a new one, but it's gonna be too late......so i say start a new app. online fafsa.ed.gov w/o pin...

Thanks! You MUST do it, Cardinal. If you don't have all the info necessary, like your W-2 forms, just make estimates. You will be allowed to update the form later. The most important thing is to submit something by the deadline.

fafsa is required for financial aid at all the UC's.. and yes, UCR is good with the aid and merit money. All the smart people here get substantial amounts of money.

t minus five hours.
