UC decision dates...

I submitted it pretty soon after it became available. But you're right; that's what's important. There's a big difference between "well, he looks good; let's just call him to check up on this" and "let's see whether or not we'll be wasting out time even looking at it."

I'm just wondering if they have begun to look at apps in earnest. As for you, from what you've posted it looks, again, like you are just about a match.

By the way, who wants the honors tonight? We should get as many CCers as possible to participate--to "take the torch" as Cardinal has said!

Davis: March 15-April 30 (6 days to go)
San Diego: March 15-April 30 (6 days to go)
Santa Barbara: March 17-April 30 (8 days to go)
Santa Cruz: March 15-April 30 (6 days to go)

Los Angeles: April 30->> (52 days to go)
Berkeley: May 1 (53 days to go)

Irvine: March 1-April 30 (BEGUN)
Merced: March 1-March 31 (BEGUN)
Riverside: March 1-April 30 (BEGUN)

nm, beaten to the punch! :(

He did it before 12! Oh well. You'll get it tomorrow, Coast?

we should set up a schedule!!!

Nooooooo!!!!!1 I was hoping to do the honors tonight!

I agree with sandkicks. This countdown is too important to let only a few people shoulder the responsibility.

We should make a calendar and then let people signup for the dates they want to update the countdown on =]

lets count by hours.

i think i'm the only person that hates the countdown. it makes me more worried =(

True IamApprhensive, but you can always refrain from looking at this thread (not being sarcastic)...

I can see how it could increase a person's anxieties...

Hey guys. I was eating at SMC's cafetria(The food wasn't good). But there were three boothes, UCLA, CSULA, and some other one.

SO i asked the UCLA rep 4 questions.

ME: SO when will the decision be released.
REP: ENd of April to end of may

ME: DId u guys get more apps this year than last?
Rep: OH yeah, a lot more.

ME: DO EC matter for CC transfers?
Rep: Yes, we like to c u do things outside of school work.

ME: DO essays matter, or is GPA the most important factor?
Rep: We value everything equally.

I thought they didn't get more apps this year, since UCLA got more apps in 2003 than 2004. Also thought that GPA was most important.

Not saying what he said was right, just kinda surprised me.

The rep is probably thinking about freshman applicants. THERE WAS A CRAZY INCREASE in the amount of freshmen apps. Transfer apps meanwhile, for UCLA, declined by .3%

here, I think you might enjoy this highschoola: http://www.ucop.edu/pathways/ucnotes/february06/appreport.html

uhhh...how many transfer spots does Cal allow? I know Davis and UCLA have target enrollments of 5000 students. I ask because Cal had 10,610 applicants this year. That's pretty low compareds to uclas 13,065.

thanks wildo, awesome link. It's my second fav after the admission gpa break down by each major for UCLA. :)

ABout 57 less people applied to ucla, but thats still a good thing.

I feel bad for freshmen, i know how hard it is to get into ucla as fresh and so many more people applying there will not make it easier.

oh well we'll c what happens. thanks for the link again.

highschoola, what's your #2 school after UCLA?

Only 4588 admits. AHHHH!!! This is so nerve racking!

I have this problem where when I procrastinate I click on every bolded topic I see on this forum without reading the title. That and even when I do read the title of the topic, I forget the countdown is in here.

willdo, i am not sure to be honest. I applied to LA, SB, SD, and CSUN. I am limited financially. I haven't talked w/ my parents about it. I might even end up attending CSUN. My situation is kinda complex.
