UC Disciplinary Record

I'm a current junior, and last semester I did something stupid and cheated on a math test.
Yes it was extremely, mind-numbingly stupid, and I got suspended for a day as well as a C in the class. Other than that, my disciplinary record is clean, and I have been an A student with a few B's here and there.

My question is whether UC schools even look at a student's disciplinary record, or ask on the application whether you have been disciplined/suspended/expelled.

Also, how much will this affect my chances at UC's (if I have to disclose) or other privates?

Please don't go off about how people like me are the reason our country is a mess, because it was one moment of stupidity not a repeated error

I believe all schools ask that question. If it was an isolated instance and your GC speaks well of you then I think it won’t affect you much at all.
