I plan to go into biomedical engineering and possibly med school.

Chance me on each of these schools?
UCD, UCB, UCSD, UCI (I'm in-state)
Cornell U, Duke U, Johns Hopkins, Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering
I'd say my 4 private schools are decently fat reaches.

Stats:
SAT: 650CR, 750M, 730W (2130. this is my one-time score and superscore), essay 10
ACT: Math 33, Science 29, Writing 29 (essay 6), English 34, Reading 36
You'd think I were two different people if you compared my reading and essay scores for the SAT and ACT. I took them a month apart too...

GPA: 3.71 uw, 3.92 w

AP's:
Calc AB: 5
Stats: 4
Chem: 4
US History: 2 (ouch)
Eng Lang: 2 (big ouch)
Calc BC: planned
Bio: planned
Eng Lit: planned (I do not know why, but I'm much better at lit than lang)
Econ: planned

EC's:
Marching band - 4 years, section leader
Winterguard - 2 years
Math team - 3 years
Badminton - 2 years
Animanga club - 4 years, President

No major awards received or community service (15 hours is pitiful)

Misc:
Asian female
biotech independent research in senior year
biotech summer internship in 2008 at a local company

Match- UCI UCD
Low Reach-UCSD
Reach- UCB and privates

I say reach at UCB because there are more applicants this year. While your GPA is good and your ACT/SAT scores are also in their ranges, I think there will likely be more of an emphasis on XC's this year. Your research and internship will help a lot, but you also seem a bit lacking in leadership positions.
