UC ESSAY - Should I have included this?

<p>So I just turned in my UC application and I've been having some second doubts. I felt I wrote a really strong essay (I spent forever getting help on editing too) but I didn't include the fact that I placed 1st at the International level of a business competition (for DECA). </p>

<p>Instead I opted on focusing more on my change in character/work ethics/my development of confidence through my participation in DECA. The structure/topic of the essay made it difficult to include the 1st place accomplishment without sounding too random or meaningless. I did however, include it in my Awards and Honors section of my application.</p>

<p>Did I make the right decision?</p>
