For the prompt:

Describe the world you come from -- for example, your family, community, or school -- and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations.

Which topic would be most impressive and personal to admissions officers?

-- Uniqueness of living in Hawai'i and how it shaped me
-- Faults of my school and how I used it to improve my character
-- Adversity faced with going to a small school and living in a small suburb
-- Growing up with a strict Asian mom and how it shaped me

Thanks!

First, essay impressiveness is done through a well written essay on any topic.

Second. I only like the first topic. All the others could run into bashing territory. Don’t bash your school, your mom etc. Small school and small suburb is not adversity and could make you look like a winer compared to foster kids and real hardship stories.

Your topics can work if you can give some real insight and take it a layer deeper than expected.

Don’t bump if you are on the first page.

All right thank you for the advice!

Do you feel the UCs get a lot of applications with that topic though? @brownparent

That is a wide open tipic. Topics aren’t the issue, what you say in the essay is more important than the topic.
