UC GPA Calculation

Hey guys I just want to know how i should calculate UC GPA.

I went to the Roger website but i wasn’t sure if it was reliable or not.

11th 1st sem. 2nd sem. final

HIstory H: A A A
Engineering H: A A A
Comp Science AP: B A A

Foreign Language H: A A A

Out of state

And Im going to take 4 APs on my senior year.

Can anyone calculate my UC unweighted & weighted GPA
and tell me if that GPA is enough for Berkeley (business) , and UCLA, USD?

Depends if you are in state or out. If you are in state you get a boost for honors classes, if you are out of state you only get it for AP classes. I am not from California but regret not applying because I had a lot of A- which they would have ignored and which brought my ivy gpa down

Did you post your semester 1 AND 2 grades?

sry does that help?

Does your school put all grades on the transcript or just end of year ones? Colleges only see what is on your transcript

UC does not care about your senior grades for admission purposes (of course you can still be recinded for low grades senior year after admission). At least that is what I thought I saw

they only put the final grades on the transcript

So whats my uc gpa?

I calculated your UC GPA using the grades posted and I get a UC GPA of 4.0 and 1 AP class for 2 extra Honors points and unweighted GPA of 3.86. I have used the calculator for both my son’s and it is accurate. You do not get much of a boost as an OOS for honors classes since UC’s only accept AP/IB for the extra honors points. You do not give any test scores, so based on your UC GPA only, UCSD would be a High Match school, UCB/UCLA are Low Reach/Reach. Much will depend upon test scores, EC’s and essays. UC’s are hard to predict, so just apply and hope for the best.

As @SaphireNY stated Senior grades are not used for acceptances, but you need to maintain a weighted GPA of 3.0 (unweighted for UCLA/UCB), no D’s or F’s to keep your provisional admit. You should consider UCSB/UCD/UCI/UCSC also and they more on target with your GPA, if you are willing to pay the $55K/year price tag. As an OOS student, you will receive little to no financial aid.

I dont need a financial aid. is uc gpa of 3.86 mentioned weighted? because Ive heard that I need around 4.2 for both berkeley and ucla. Then, what does unweighted gpa of 3.81 indicate? our school divides school year by two semesters.

Only the year end goes on transcript you said

only the final grade.

Sorry see my update since I didn’t see that your final grade was the only grade reported on your transcript. UC GPA 4.0, unweighted 3.86.

oh ok thats better. isnt that still a little bit low though?

For UCSD,UCB and UCLA, you are below the average on GPA. Test scores, EC’s and essays can give you a boost so all is not lost. Just remember there is no guarantee, so do your best and work hard.

MY sat 1 score is around 2300, I won’t stat is exactly, but with 800 math. 790 on math iic, 770 on chemistry. MY EC is not amazing but good enough, and essay, ppl who read it says, is amazing. Would I have a good chance? And I came to USA not that long ago.

Are you considered international or are you a permanent resident? I know ethnicity does not matter for UCs although it would for ivies

I am PR
