On the UC application for freshmen applying, will they require you to round your UC GPA to the nearest tenth or hundredth decimal point? Thanks!

As I recall, you report it to two places (hundredth). However, they recalculate it themselves and they may take it out to three places. A computer does it, so it could conceivably go out 4 or 5 places with zero effort. I don’t think there’s much difference between 4.200 and 4.204 though. In fact, the difference between 4.20 and 4.21 is pretty insignificant. One’s ECs and essays will more likely be the tie breaker (if they are deciding between 2 students).

@mothergoldenbear I’m guessing the difference between 4.21 and 4.23 will not make a major difference either? (which I think I am calculating it correctly). Thanks for that last sentence! It is always a relieving reminder that objective scores are not everything :)
