Uc gpa

I am planning to apply to the University of California, Davis and I have two questions.

I heard that the minimum GPA for admission into the school is a 3.0. When they say 3.0 are they talking about unweighted, UC weighted( I know they weigh differently) or how your high school weighs?

Also on collegeboard.com, its says about 15 percent of students attending the UC had a high school GPA similar to mine.( 3.4 weighted, 3.74 UC weighted) Again, are theses stats based on unweighted, UC weighted or Highschool weighted grades?

All helpfull answers appreciated.

Thanks,

They are talking UC weighted GPA, you can find the formula on the UC Pathways website.

So for the different stats for different colleges on the website, are the gpa stats based on how that college weighs grades?

It depends on the UC. For UCDavis, it's 3.0 weighted but for UCLA it's 3.0 unweighted.

Ok. But as for the GPA stats, are they basing the gpa's on UC weighted? I would think probably not considering that the website says that a majority of the UC Davis students have only around a 3.5(and up) which seems really unimpressive.

The stats are weighted because some of the GPAs are over 4.0

you can find all the stats by campus on:
