UC Intercampus Transfer

Hello everyone,

I'm a psychology major at UCSC with a gpa of 3.33. I'm going to become a second year, and I want to transfer to UCD as a nutrition major. I'm going to have all but three prerequisites finished before I transfer. I'm hoping to bump up my GPA to at least a 3.5 in fall 2014. I'm going to miss three prerequisites because I'm changing my major to nutrition, specifically nutritional science.

My personal reason of why I want to transfer to UCD is because I found a new passion in nutrition and I no longer want to study psychology. UCSC doesn't have a nutrition major, which is why I want to transfer. I chose psychology as a major because I enjoyed the topic, but I realized that I don't want to pursue a career in psychology anymore.

My GPA is 3.33 because I got a C in a class related to psychology (Writing in Psychology), so I don't know if that makes a difference if I'm pursuing a nutrition major.

What are my chances of transferring and any helpful tips for an intercampus transfer? Thank you everyone for responding :)

Knowing nothing about the nutrition major, and leaving GPA out of the mix, I guess what really stands out to me are the three missing prerequisites. Are they available at any nearby CCC? Depending upon their general availability at other CCCs, that may or may not hurt you.

@lindyk8 For two of them there are not available at the CCCs near my location. The other one I will probably take it in summer 2015 if I get accepted.
