UC Irvine Admissions Invitation to Enhance Your Application?

I just got this invitation to enhance my application in my email earlier in the afternoon. I was wondering if this meant that my application stood out enough to pique the interest of one of the reviewers, or if it was just a generic email sent to all applicants? I would also appreciate it if anyone could tell me how helpful this would be to my application.

Thanks in advance.

Got the same email. This is the only information I could find:

Some of my friends got one from UCLA, so I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be getting one from them soon too! Best of luck to you.

edit: Also, I couldn’t find any information on this whole thing from previous years. It might be the first year they’re trying this out, so we’ll see how everything pans out.

I didn’t get one and I’d expect to be quite borderline.

Wow, thanks a lot! I really do hope this means I’m borderline… I did some extra research and read that it might also mean that I didn’t provide enough information, so I’m a little worried and excited at the same time.

Looks like we’re on the same boat; I got one too. :T I feel so pressured! lol. I don’t even know how to start it… :P

did anyone hear about their admission decision yet ???

A lot of people have gotten accepted to UCI already. In my school there are like 5 or 6 students that gotten their decisions. I’m still waiting for mine > <

I didn’t expect to receive an admission decision so early, but I got mine today! Even though I made it in, the notification was really simple - a basic “You have been admitted to UC Irvine!” on the homepage of my UCInetID account.

DS got his acceptance from Irvine last week. We were certain we won’t hear from any UC until March, according to their own published timeline.

Very happy, of course.

Wondering if any other UC campus is doing this, and is this new?

UCI and UCR sent out admission acceptance in batches
UCLA, UCSD starts mid March, UCSB Mar 21, Berkeley Mar 24
