-upward grade trend went from a 2.1/1.9 freshman year to a 4.33/4.1 GPA my junior year.
-Did not take calculus in High school took pre calc, math is not my subject. </p>

<p>Did you retake your SAT I or ACT? 1140 is low for Irvine</p>

<p>Your 500 Math IC is also pretty low, did you retake that?</p>

<p>I don't know, you're probably a low reach at Irvine.
Berk/LA/SD: Reach
Irvine/SB/Davis: low reach
SC/R: match/safety
Merced: Safety</p>

<p>really a low reach, i was hoping for a match, yes i did retake those scores, i am hoping my History and writing scores would be able to cover my math IC since there both 700 scores, im applying as a History major so i dont see how the IC score is going to hurt me alot</p>

<p>Even though you're not gonna do math as a major, UC's still want to see a good solid grasp of it so ya that IC is gonna hurt you a lot, and Irvine has I think has a 650 Math SAT II avg.</p>

<p>What was your SAT I breakdown?</p>

<p>Also, if you don't mind me wondering, why do you want Irvine? I personally visited it and I didn't like it at all. :(</p>

<p>1140 is what im hoping i got, i usually got 600 verbal 540 math on the practice test</p>

<p>Here are the average Fall 2004 accepted stats for UCI: 3.91 UC GPA, 1249 SAT, 619 SAT II Writing, and 639 SAT II Math. At this point, you're a reach for UCI/UCD/UCSB unless you improve those scores.</p>

<p>those are accepted, for enrolled at UCSB it's 1189, 3.7, and an average of 580 on each of the SAT 2 test.</p>

<p>it all depends on those SAT's, i would consider it a weak match or a low reach</p>
