Called UCI right now! They said we should all hear back by the end of the month but regular decisions should be coming out in batches starting next week! They say it’s random and depends on the program too.
Next week… sigh…

@knguyen1297 Well that’s disappointing we’ll have to wait until next week. Hopefully it’ll be early next week for in state students and probably later in the week for out of state students
I don’t know when next week, that’s just what they said. Very vague with everything, I’m surprised she even told me about starting next week.
Irvine even says March 1st then rolling thereafter
@squamous CHP and Regents (whatever they are) get decisions first. Then regular decisions is out next week

@MissPawly What’s your major? Assuming History, I would assume you have a good chance at being admitted just on stats alone (Unless history is a super competitive major…I wouldn’t know as I’m Bme). I would recommend reading through the 2019 thread and searching for acceptances for your major and looking at stats and other info. However, your ECs, essay, etc. will factor in as well and you’ll never really know. Good luck!
Do you guys think AP scores weigh heavily or at all on admission decisions? I have a 4.08 (couldve been higher but I took summer school, and although I got A’s, it brought my average down, if I didnt take them, it wouldve been 4.17) and I got a 1870 on the SAT (I know, not that strong) I have pretty strong ECs and my major is bio sci. Chance me pleaaase. Reading the 2019 thread makes me scared because it seems like alot of people with 2000+ 4.0+ got denied 
@seemoore From what I know from my school, you have a fair chance of getting in because your stats is right at UCI average (for my school at least). But I think in the end it depends on the major and your essay can make it or break it. Best of luck! I’m waiting on UCI too .

Nah AP scores barely mean anything for admission decisions. It’s only good for getting rid of classes in college, and that too only if you get a good score. For some colleges they don’t accept anything lower than a 5 or at least a 4.
Oh UCI, why are you making us wait so long?
