Hey guys just curious, do you all have the message below under the schools tab in your UCI portal? If so, does it list all of your past colleges, or just some of them? Mine only lists 2 of the 5 CCs I went to. Just thought it was interesting.
“Upon admission and receipt of your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), official transcripts will be required for each school listed. For all admitted students, the deadline is July 1.”

Guess there’s nothing to gather from it I suppose, I was just curious.
What’s the furthest you guys would commute to UCI? I live about 70 minutes from campus in 405 traffic, most times of day, could be longer in the AM. Would you still commit? I’d be adding about 2.5 hours to my day, every day in driving. It’s my only concern if I choose UCI.
That will definitely take a toll on you in the long run.
At first, we will all be excited and don’t care about the distance, but as time goes on, it’ll be tiring.
To me, under 45 min is efficient and doable for the rest of the undergrad if commuting.
Yeah, If I decide on UCI, I’ll take a few trips during traffic just to make sure.

I emailed the admissions office today and they said they would release decisions by the end of next week. Be prepped for next week instead of this week!

Well I emailed directly to the Office, and that’s what they said so I am going to go with what they said. But it doesn’t harm to keep checking.

That’s a problem because I have to accept my financial aid for my safety school (UCR) by the 19th. Does anyone know if I can accept the aid being offered by UCR even if I haven’t submitted a SIR? 
Really weird they would insist you declare by the 19th when not all of the UC’s have announced. Something sounds fishy, you should call UCR about that, I doubt you need to accept by the 19th. OR it’s all in the plan and UC’s all know announcements will be done by the end of this week.
@StoneTower that sounds weird because it says on GROWL, in the Fin. Aid Award that the deadline to accept or decline is May 1st
That sounds more likely, Tristana. I mean, there’s also Cal which is last in line for announcements.
@StoneTower I’m in a similar position except on my Growl, the deadline is today. I think it depends on when you were accepted. I just accepted even though I haven’t gotten a decision from UCI yet. I don’t think anything is final until you SIR

Mine says April 19th which really isn’t fair considering UCR is my safety school @ _ @ I don’t really know what to do about this. I was betting on UCI coming out the 17th because it was my top choice school but if it’s coming out next week then idk what to do. Urgh. I don’t want to accept a bunch of financial aid for a school I’m not going to be going to if I get in somewhere else.
Well whatever you do, at least wait until tomorrow evening when we know for sure. If no release tomorrow, just call them the next day to seek advice.
