@Skyles21 @UCI6288 hi, I was the one who called UCI yesterday and they told me that due to the high number of applicants, they will probably be sending out their decisions till Monday of this coming week. It totally sucks because now we have to wait even LONGER to know if weâve been accepted/rejected/wait list.

Can someone call and confirm with UCI today that they are still sending out acceptances?

I guess my essay was strong
What I donât get is why theyâre waiting until the last possible moment to release the decisions. Iâm under no assumption that theyâre not already pretty much done with decisions, save for maybe a couple theyâre still going over. Why not just let the decisions they have already made be completely released? Itâs not like theyâre waiting for one day for everyone like UCB, theyâve been giving out decisions. So whatâs the problem with giving out everyone elseâs?
Seriously, if anyone has an idea why that Iâm overlooking let me know. The logistics of this make zero sense to me.
I was waitlisted at UC Irvine even though I had a TAG so I send the admissions counselor a message about it and received this response.
"If you read the TAG requirements for UCI it does
state: has earned a minimum GPA of 3.4 in all
UC-transferable coursework by the end of the
summer 2015 for fall 2016 admission and will
maintain GPA of 3.4 in all UC-transferable
coursework for all subsequent terms.
You had a 3.00 in your Fall 2014 term and this
made you ineligible for TAG."
I was under the impression that âmaintain GPA of 3.4 in all UC-transferable
coursework for all subsequent termsâ, meant that my GPA could not fall below 3.4? And not that I had to achieve a minimum 3.4 for every subsequent term. I mean hypothetically if I applied again for TAG next year and didnât take any more courses I would get in because I had the 3.4 upfront⊠it just doesnât make any sense to me, does this seem right?
@arkcount unfortunately this is right. Some of the wording with the TAG agreement is slightly misleading, but if you read it carefully, it is clear. There is still a chance youâll make it in with the waitlist.

Mines is fine as well, nothing changed apparently. I honestly donât want to get my hopes up! I am prepared to get rejected

@lilpop i dont want to say: âdont lose hopeâ but then⊠looking at the trends lately, most acceptances already got out. As days pass by itâs just waitlists! Have you heard anyone that got accepted recently? (Like yesterday or today?)

@lilpop I am a sophomore transfer, so it is unlikely I will get in anyways. My friends are waiting as well! But they are all applying as sophomore transfers!
