Trying to decide between the schools with very little time left.... Will be going into Engineering and from what I read am pretty sure that SLO has the better engineering school(s). Although it's a nice campus, it's definitey NOT what you could call "urban"! Am pretty sure that neither is a party school, but since I will be there at LEAST 4 years, would like to get some opinions on campus life, social settings, etc. etc. Engineering is all well and good, but there's got to be more to life than calculations. All opinions would be very helpful!

Go to SLO for good engineering and a better social life. Irvine has a lot of commuters.
