UC Lower-Division Transfer

I’ve had no luck with the transfer forum, so I’ve come here! Is anyone out there a “lower-division transfer” (or sophmore transfer)? I am a freshman at UCSC and applied as a L.D. transfer under the only college that accepts L.D. transfers (College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at UCD) I wrote in my essay, however, my interest in their international relations program, so I’m wondering if that destroyed any chance I had? I have a 4.0 btw, including previous CCC classes and the fall quarter (A, A+, A).

Mentioning another major in the personal statement will not affect the admissions decision.

thank you for your response!

how rare are lower division transfers? and does davis evaluate transfers based on the comprehensive review?

Lower division transfers are possible and will be based on the course work you will have completed before transferring. At this time, only the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences will consider lower division transfer students in most of their majors. You must have also met the freshman eligibility requirements that were in place at the time of your high school graduation.

I’m not sure how rare they are but, if you meet the requirements we will consider your application.
