UC Merced transfer

Is it true that UCLA sometimes give you guarantee you transfer if you go to UC Merced first?

I think there is a program that way, for Cal and UCLA, they make you go to UC Merced for 2 years and transfer to Cal and UCLA in 2 years with some limitations?

My friend got into the program last year but he didn't do it. I believe it's one year at UC Merced and then you can transfer to UCLA if you're in that program.

yes its true. I dont know if its 1 or 2 years though

I believe you have to be offered the program for it to work.

yep, must be in the program. just being a UCM student wont guarantee you transfer admission to UCLA/UCB.

Is that how bad merced needs students these days? They simply shouldn't have built a damn UC in the middle of no where. Dumbass regents..

YEah! Regents should have built another UC in LA... like that empty land by Portuguese Bend.

UCPV!!

Moldau when they were deciding on choosing land for the UCLA campus

Rancho Palos Verdes
Fullerton
and Westwood were the contenders.

Too bad they didn't select RPV, would have saved me money on housing.

However, i think Westwood kicks ass!!!!!

moldau, i think you went to high school with a friend of mine.. (if you're from PV that is).

They should have built it in the Bay!!!

Merced is not all that bad. There are cows, good country feeling, they have rabbits, lots and lots of rabbits!

Well...that's because the Bay has Berkeley...

I know, but they should have put one in NorCal. Not in Central Cali where it's a damn inferno during summer. Anyway, isn't UCM suppose to be the science/engineering oriented UC?

I thought UCM was supposed to be one of the Nor Cal schools, making the total number of UCs in nor cal 5 and those in so cal 5. UCM sent me something after Berkeley rejected me about how it's engineering oriented (some of its professors are from Berkeley!!!), but given how many UCs are science/engineering oriented...

"science/engineering oriented" what does that even mean??? don't most colleges have science/engineering majors????? what's so special about being science/engineering oriented- you want to highlight the science majors that other colleges have as well? what does that say to kids who want to major in other stuff at their school? SOL we dont care about you since we give all our funds to the science ppl?

It basically means that even if you're in another major other than the sciences you'll still have to take that s**t! This is an essay question for you north campus bastards:

You know Japan has four distinct seasons, right? This is probably because of the molecular neutrino content of our sub-pressurized atmosphere. It causes atom diffusion which, due to the Fosters Chain Reaction theory, causes things to happen in a cyclic pattern. But tell me, what do you think?

Express your feelings on that s**t Biatches!!!

JK JK! :}

IDK, I'm just going by what the broacher and the reps said. I thought the science ppl do get most of the funding, no?

UC Merced is a hoax guys.. theres no such school it doesnt actually exist

Springtime in Japan is the best. Followed by FALL. I hate summer. I want to go to Sunshine City now, KTHX Fisico.

take me with you!!

I'll transfer to Waseda and live with my friends in denenchofu. I suppose you can come along
