uc prompt#2 essay needs clarification

<p>I heard from a uc engineering professor saying that all UC engineering schools require prospective applicants to write on prompt#2 about their intended major, something they passion about why they choose their major and what they are going to do after they graduate. This is completely unknown to me and when I read the UC prompt#1 or 2, I find nothing, no mention of that specific requirement. I am a bit confused since a lot of times, Computer science falls into Engineering school, but unless you study computer engineering,
computer science itself is not engineering, isn't it ?</p>

<p>Are you a freshmen or a transfer student? Transfer students are required to write about their intended major for prompt 2. It is suggested that freshmen write about their interest in engineering in either of the essays.</p>
