Im currently in a 4 years state college but i want to transfer to UC Davis in my Jr. year. what are the chances of me getting in? i know they always let community college people in first. but what are the chances for 4 years people from state college? has anyone done this or know anyone that have? please let me know. thank you for your help

no one knows? this is really bothering me now i hope someone can help please. like from a 4yrs school to UC DAVIS. and major would be Managerial Econ (Business) they just call it that at Davis i think. HELP ME with some ideas thank u in advance

I'm not an expert on this, but it's my understanding that most UCs are looking primarily for junior-year transfers (apply sophomore year, enter junior year). While preference is given to those in California community colleges, Cal states and other UCs, those in a regular 4-year program that meet the same criteria are also eligible and usually accepted subject to space limitations.

Here's a site with some info on transfer student statistics relative to the UCs

<a href="http://www.ucop.edu/sas/infodigest03/welcome.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.ucop.edu/sas/infodigest03/welcome.html</a></p>

According to what I see here, there were 16,000 transfer applicants accepted to the UCs in a recent year, and 10,400 of these were from California community colleges, California State Universities or from one UC to another--so I guess that means there were about 5,600 accepted from other schools (out-of-state community colleges, and 4-year schools inside and outside of California).

Good luck to you in your transfer application.
