UC to UC chances??

Hi everyone, I would greatly appreciate it if you could chance me :)

Current school: UCSC
Major: Business Econ or Econ - depending on school
GPA: 3.5 (Fall quarter I did horrible A+, C+, C+. But ever since I've been getting straight A's or A-'s, especially in upper division econ classes)
ECs: summer internship at fortune 500 company, treasurer of organization, volunteering, clubs
GEs: After this quarter (fall qtr) I'll be done with all my GE's and next quarter I'll be done with all my pre-reqs.
Personal statements - Pretty good. I did briefly slip in what happened fall qtr, but mostly how I overcame the issue.

I'm applying to UCB, UCD, UCLA, and UCSD (also USC/SCU but I'm writing in a UC transfer thread)

Any help? :(

I wish I had some help for you, but alas, I have no clue how UC -> UC transfers work. I’d suggest searching this “UC Transfers” forum for UC -> UC transfer threads. I’ve seen a lot of them here over the past couple months. I did want to ask you, however, why you want to transfer out of UCSC (just out of curiosity, since I’ll transferring there this winter).

Be aware that you will get in line behind CCC transfers. If they run out of spots, you’re out of luck.

If your requirements are all completed, and your GPA is a 3.5, you’ll probably have a decent-good shot at the mid-UC’s, and an OK shot at Berkeley and LA. I assume the essay takes on added importance for UC-UC transfers.

And to RSBuletz, I’m not sure it works that way. I’m pretty sure they just reserve MORE spots for community college transfers. I doubt there’s ever been a year where no UC to UC transfers were accepted (the acceptance rate is usually a little above half what it is for community college transfers).

thanks for the help everyone. i have looked at all the statistics through the UC websites and through statfinder, but those mostly just give you a statistical breakdown based on your GPA + major applied to. also i understand that CCC students get a higher priority over my application, but i also felt that i should have been able to get into UCLA in high school if it wasn’t for my soph year grades (near perfect SAT/ACTs, several APs, very active at school)
technically i’m done with all my requirements for econ, but i still need to take one more accounting class to be completed for business econ.
don’t get me wrong, UCSC is a great school and i’ve started to appreciate it once i started to take more of the upper division classes here. however, the business economics track here isn’t that competitive and is rarely recruited from (except for those interested in accounting). also i’ve been extensively looking at other UCs upper division econ classes and they are more in line of what i want to do.
