UC Question HELP!!!!

UC Apps due in a couple days.

Anyways, it asks for income in 2006 and 2005.

2006 is not over so should I just estimate my parent's income. It is roughly 40k a year, but not exactly. Could be +/- a few thousand.

Also, should I apply EOP? I am not really disadvantaged. My dad just doesn't work.

Just estimate the 2006 income. Sorry but I can't answer your question about EOP.

Neighbor's D is in an EOP program at a CSU. Like your situation, her dad doesn't work, low income (by CA standards), but she doesn't consider herself "inner city disadvantaged." She signed up for EOP because seemed to make it easier for her to get more $$ for school and it offered advising and tutorial help while at school. She also was brought in early to school for a study skills/intro to the university week--it helped her acclimate to the university. I think she'd say it was worth it for her.

To apply to EOP, prospective students must complete the appropriate items on the application. Students should use the personal statement to discuss their interest in EOP and the reasons they are applying to the program. Students are encouraged to elaborate on factors that demonstrate a low-income and/or disadvantaged background, including experiences and circumstances that may have adversely affected their ability to achieve full potential. Students should submit the application during the regular filing period for the term they wish to begin their studies at the University.
