hey brah, there is no need for the hate. We are all just having good fun, its just a joke. And im not a UCI student so Im giving an unbiased opinion Broseph, Broski,Brosephena, Brohem(thats all I can think of at the moment.)

Apple7, you would fit in very well at UCSD, because you are a jackass.

Some of you people here are so STUPID. It is sad and pathetic to argue over ranks. They don’t even matter, these are UC schools, as long as you are willing to work you will benefit from an excellent education. And besides just b/c someone could not get accepted to Cal/LA/UCSD/etc, does NOT mean that they are more stupid/dumb/less worthy/etc.

Why does everyone hate UCI so much? And besides UCI>>UCSD (Just give us some time, there’s a TON of construction going on right now)
Who would want to go to a school with Triton Eye (why would you settle for less when you can get more)?

Are you kidding me? How can a name and age of the school alone be the factor of ranking schools? Thats stupid NCAA BCS progaganda. If that were the case then Fullerton Community College founded in 1913 would be ranked above UCSD. MONEY is the only factor for rankings. The people that rank schools know that the more money/funding you get…the better resources, connection, faculty…etc you get. Plain and simple. Schools should not be ranked on student acceptance, or school age or name…they should be honest and admit that rankings are based on DOLLAR signs.

I don’t think anyone has neither explicitly nor implicitly made such remark, unless I skipped through an entire page of this thread.

UC Irvine students are literally the only ones complaining about rankings, if people there are that whiny I don’t see why anyone wants to go there.

The real winners here are the ones who spent their Saturday night arguing about who got in/goes to the best school. Way to go!

UCI: 1 to change the lightbulb and 2 to check US News to see if their lightbulb department has become better than Davis’s and Santa Barbara’s.

UCSB: 1 to screw in the lightbulb and 40 who came in because they heard about the lightbulb screwing party. There was beer.

UC Davis: 1 because everyone loves Davis. Either that or something about cows.

UCSD: 1 to screw in the lightbulb and 1 to make a joke about how there’s nothing else to do at UCSD.

Berkeley: 20. 10 hippies who wandered into the room and 10 students who were rejected from Haas.

LA: 100 to screw in the lightbulb and 100 who are waiting outside because they tried to sign up for Lightbulb Screwing 101 two hours after sign-up started.

UC Riverside: 4, because 3 will have transferred out before the lightbulb goes in.

Merced: 1 to screw in the lightbulb and a few thousand more to ask Michelle Obama to speak when they turn on the switch.

Santa Cruz: 1 to screw in the lightbulb and 29 to have a discussion on the racist and sexist implications of lightbulbs.

im sorry, i didnt find this to be funny. eeeh, maybe my humor is just dry?

LOL @ LogicWarrior.

Lol logicwarrior nice job.

UCB: 30 (the last 20 couldn’t get in off the Light Screwing DeCal waitlist.)

@chibi - It’s funny because it’s true haha. Though I am surprised those 10 hippies didn’t check to see if it was Al Gore certified!

chibi you complain too much.

The UCLA one is very true lmao. People sign up for everything the second they are allowed to.

Ok i was reading this and there are so many idiots on here im shocked!!! first of all drug scandal was at sdsu not ucsd!!! As far as UCI being third best, LOL!!! what ever helps you sleep at night UCSD is rated the 7 best public university in the country, UCI is NOT! Berkeley is the hands down winner, but UCLA is not better then UCSD in everything. for example…ENGINEERING! UCSD is ranked higher in all fields of Engineering over UCLA! since im a Engineering major thats all i can relate to since i didnt research every major. but lastly WHO CARES!!! THE UC school system in gerneral is top notch so enjoy ur education and quit trying to improve your self feelings by comparing dick sizes and be happy with who you are not the ******** prestige of your school, or lack there of for you UCI dummy’s, UCI the rejects of real schools LOL!

^
I think you’re being a little too optimistic about UCSD…
General consensus says:
Cal > UCLA >>> UCSD >> UCI/UCSB/UCD >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> others

^lol at least I’m not the only one that got such impression. :P

@uchopefully… before you go running your mouth about how stupid some people are, learn how to construct a sentence.

besides that, what exactly are ‘self feelings’?

that should have said "Berkeley: 20. 10 hippies who wandered into the room and 10 students who were rejected from Haas and had nothing else to do

I like how he uses general rankings as a means of stating UCSD’s superiority over UCI, but uses a specific subject to show why UCLA isn’t better than UCSD.

Why people are so insecure in trying to prove that UCSD or UCI is top tier is beyond me. Deep down they are upset they did not get into UCLA or Cal, so they superficially try and find any excuse as to show their schools dominance and how in fact they may be better off at their school. Even better is when they berate the rankings process, lol.

Look, I am not ashamed to say Cal is a little better than UCLA (where I am attending this fall). I don’t think it will matter either way for my future, but I am more than happy to be going to UCLA.

Then again, maybe its easier for me since I got into Cal but choose UCLA because I love living in LA.

hijynx please don’t forget you basically back-doored your way into those schools with that joke of a major.
