UCR admits by major not into the University first like UCSD. They consider your alternate major if you do not meet the requirements for your first choice. They will never admit you for one major and waitlist for another.
Oh, I think that could explain why I got into UCR quickly. But my friend is a bio major and she got into UCR around the same time as me with comparable stats

yes, but it’s been the same for all of my friends who i’ve asked (huge range of gpas) so i very much doubt it means anything!! don’t worry

yeah, did they all get the admit banner thing? i mean gpa alone isn’t the only predictor but it is a large factor tbh
