I've heard that these open house things for admitted students are a waste of time and all they do is throw school propaganda at you. To people who've gone to these or current UC San Diego students, is Triton Day worth going to? My school's prom is that same day and I'm debating on which thing I should go to

I don’t think it’s worth skipping your school’s prom. You can still visit UCSD any other time, and go on a tour and such if you want to and haven’t done so already. If you decide to attend, then you’ll go to your college’s orientation, which will still let you see the campus, dorms, etc. I graduated from UCSD and I didn’t go to Triton Day when I was a freshman admit. I don’t feel like I missed out on anything.

Oh okay, that’s true. What about this “breakfast with the Dean” thing? I got invited to it by the College of engineering and apparently I get to meet some profs or something. Does that sound like it would actually help me to make a decision on SD?

Go to prom and visit UCSD some other day, lol…
