Thank you again for submitting your application to the University of California, Santa Barbara for fall quarter, 2010.

Since December, we have been reading and evaluating more than 59,000 freshman and transfer applications to UCSB. On Monday, March 22 at 4 p.m., we will post freshman admission decisions and some transfer admission decisions on our website - www.admissions.ucsb.edu/applicant. Transfer decisions will continue to be updated through May 1st as applications are evaluated.

yay, finally something!

yeah i just got it too

as did I. I don’t think it means anything other than to be telling us that we should be expecting something right after I finish my accounting exam monday the 22nd.

how come I didn’t get the email…

oh wait I got it…nevermind…=)

im excited, this pleases me a little.

I saw the subject “UCSB Admissions Update” which made my heart skip a beat, then I actually read the message. I hate emails like this :(

@ dain bramage, i got all excited too. And then I realized it was the same thing that it says when you log into the website. ughhhhhh

yea, i got that too… but kinda useless since the website told us the transfer release day already

the email title made you think there is an update in your admission status

any of you guys going to the spring insight open house on april 10th???

when i saw the email come thru on my Blackberry I got really excited, until I read it and figured out that it was just a heads up for March 22.

@Priya1117, im trying to make it to the spring insight, but as of right now i’ll be in florida that weekend…currently trying to get back to the west coast in time ha

yeah, i got so excited when i saw the email title, such deception…

****ing cockteases

59,000??? Isn’t that WAY more than they usually get?

to StatFinder! woosh

Meh, nope- I’m wrong. Last year- 55,000 (total) applicants. 10,000 of those were transfer, of which about 7,000 were admitted, of which about 2,000 enrolled. I think we’re fine, guys. Our admit rate is way higher than the freshmen anyway.
