My last one is UCSB which is my dream school and absolutely nervous :’-(

All these GPA’s are really high. Is it because you guys are highschoolers? I applied as a transfer, and I don’t recall reading GPA’s this high for previous terms. Making me nervous :frowning:

UC gpa is calculated through your sophomore and junior year grades. The UC gpa only takes into account the gen ed classes (math, science, etc) and does not include your electives (art, p.e, etc). Your uc gpa you should be above a 3.4 minimum for out of state students.

Wait listed

SAT: 1230 (new sat)
GPA: 3.8
Intended Major: Uncleclared - Engineering
Lots of EC’s
Good Essays

@astrophilia a lot of these people are posting weighted UC GPAs (where honors and AP classes get an extra GPA point) so it would make sense that their average transfer GPA would be a lot lower

Got it  Thanks @pleasgod

My D got accepted for Biology.

In state. Last Name W.
UC GPA 3.95 (lots of AP’s)
Old SAT 2130/2400

@jenjen182 So surprised! With that stats you are a shoe in to several competitive schools. this seems like a tuft’s syndrome to protect yield although UC’s usually don’t practice that. beats me can’t think of a reason! UC admissions are so weird.

I called to check and they stated that acceptances are still going out until mid-April.
I’m so anxious

Need opinions because I over think; this is part of the contract:

“If you have already earned a grade of D or F (or equivalent for other grading systems) in your senior year (fall or spring), or if your overall GPA in your senior year is not consistent (within a grade point) with your previous academic performance, you have not met this condition of your admission.”

&

“When your application was reviewed, the senior-year courses you listed on your application were taken into consideration when selecting you for admission. Any changes you have made to you senior-year coursework may result in your offer of admission being cancelled.”

I got a C+ (79) in AP Bio cause my teacher is absolute garbage (he even admitted it) however, he is very kind and an B (85) in AP Govt. cause we do nothing in there, but she is can also be very nice. AP Bio was the lowest grade I had, but it lowered me 0.02 GPA wise. I also ADDED Psychology for college credit, in addition to Eng. Comp. I & II and College Alg. and Trig., this semester so I informed UCSC about the change in my coursework via that link on the contract page, but I’m scared they’re going to take away my acceptance decision just for sending them that course change form. It said that they’ll inform me in 2 weeks what’ll happen. My main concern is my GPA lowering 0.02 and that I added Psychology. What do you guys think?

BTW, congrats to all who made it! To those who didn’t, don’t lose hope! I got in with low scores! I’m a miracle case, though, maybe not anymore

Rejected
(first rejection and it hurts)
Major: English
GPA 3.68
SAT 1280
In State
Tons of EC’s and leadership
great essay. A little surprised but I have lots of other options.

My daughter was accepted. However when we went to look at the congratulatory video, the video came up with a very alarming message header about malware and high risk. Got out as quickly as possible and did not click on the video. Does anyone know anything about this?
