I believe UCs look at all 3 GPAs - UW, W, Capped UC GPA.
It is.
Son accepted “Undeclared”
Instate - SoCal
Unweighted 4.0, UC Capped 4.33
9 APs
Congratulations to everyone! What a relief…
No word yet for my S22 but he got an admit from another U**C school today which has calmed him down somewhat.
What other school?
It’s so stressful for these kids! Fingers crossed!
I guess “IU”
UIUC. But my son really loves UCSC so he’s still kinda anxious.
Great to hear, thank you!
Thank you, much appreciated.
anyone heard anything since the 1 pm announcements?
Daughter got in, first UC so happy.
Biomolecular Engineering & Bioinformatics.
UW: 3.96
W (Capped): 4.3
W (uncapped): 4.5
Had SJSU CS (seemed that was cutoff at 4.35 W capped this year, so the 200 points of being local Spartan promise helped her for sure) accept earlier in the morning. Hope more to come from instate schools in the coming weeks, and make all that tax money work next 4 years! Yay!
This will be a crazy year, with Berkeley possibly cutting 3000 odd seats. Very tense!
Congrats to all those accepted!
Any instates get in with a weighted capped in the 4.0-4.10 range?
Also, anyone with a C grade in grades 10-11 get in?
Fill in the Blanks and put IU in between …
My D accepted OOS Psychology major! No e-mail - she just checked her portal.
All students at UCSC are admitted into a “proposed major” and must take specific course requirements to declare the major. Below is a link about declaring the major and since they are already admitted into the Engineering school, it should not be an issue in changing the concentration before declaring the major. Always have your student work with an academic advisor.
Just found out I got accepted to Neuroscience:))
My son was waitlisted with weighted of 3.9 in 2019. For Game design. But he got UCLA Design Media Arts, and kicking ass there. So go figure.
Will there be another wave today?
it is weird. My son was rejected at Cal State Long Beach, but got in at UCSC.
