UC Santa Cruz Transfer Decisions 2013

@frank They do not read personal statements. A lot of people do not meet the minimum requirements, don’t have a competitive GPA for their perspective major, or they do not have all the prerequisites completed.

Pretty much the only thing they look at is GPA and completion of major requirements.

I got into Bio with a 3.05, just throwing that out there.

Thanks everyone. I swear, I’m getting agita. It just sucks because I honestly have no clue what they’ll accept and what they won’t, so I just have to sit here and wait. I just know I’ll get my decision in late April.

Good luck everyone!

novalord whats ur stats? I’m so jelly =/ I just want to get accepted so I won’t have to stay for another year at this cc from hell.

Strengths: Personal Statement, ECs, upward trend
Weaknesses: GPA, one terrible semester that was explained.
Why you think you were accepted: barely meeting the cutoff?

General Comments: I am very fortunate. I did not expect to get in anywhere else besides Riverside.

@nova are you going to attend?

@mermaker most likely, even if I get into SB. Its a beautiful campus, and I have a lot of outdoorsy hobbies.

I’m a certified pharm tech too =D. I haven’t began looking for a job yet, maybe I’ll do that in the summer.

Actually, I only passed the PTCB, not sure if that’s considered certified.

@ SoCal79 I so agree with u! Why do they say we will hear back In march when probably most of us won’t hear till April or sometime??? They should just say “end of April” like the other ucs and then if its earlier then great! But not have us all waiting thinking we are going to be accepted in march when we may not be a accepted till late April-- messed up

@Babs22hh I know right!! I have already been accepted at two other schools, but I need to know what my decision is so I can make up my mind and register my classes for the spring quarter, because every school has different prereqs.

anyone get accepted over the weekend?

guess thats a big nope :-)

Hello I got into UCSC, SFSU, and Sacramento but i’m tied between the first two.

But my question is why hasn’t my boyfriend heard back? We’re stressing out cause we want to move in together soon and if he gets in to UCSC we’ll go there.

Ahh!

^ They release decisions throughout April, just be patient.

I got my UCSC packet today!

Do you only get the packet if you SIR?

Nope. I didn’t SIR yet. They plan to send all the admitted students Packets during april! I live really close to UCSC so I got it pretty soon.
