UC Santa Cruz Transfer Decisions 2013

By when should we expect to see our financial aid awards?? Do any of you guys know??

I don’t see anything, I only see the announcement that they received my app in the application status bar :/

ACCEPTED!!
Major: Literature
GPA: 3.77
Pre-Reqs: done for my major, but I’m taking the transferable math this semester.

This is the first school I’ve heard back from. I’m so happy, I might pass out! Congratulations to everyone that got in and best of luck to those still waiting!!

Will we know if we got scholarships before we accept? I know my chances are probably not great but I’m hoping for that Regents scholarship… Only 50 students though…

Has anyone heard back in psych or philosophy yet?

Accepted
Mathematics
Now to wait for LA

Congrats, Mikey!

Thanks Larinaga, Congrats as well!
Hopefully you get accepted to the school you want to be admitted too.

Still haven’t heard back from any schools yet :/. It’s really making me anxious.

No problem, Mikey! And thank you!

Naw, not my b-day. Haha. It’s @mrandall’s birthday today. I wish we could tag people in this forum like on twitter or facebook. Lol.

xtheswedx, Just gotta stay patient. I was going crazy over UCSD yesterday and I still haven’t heard from them. But now that UCSC responded to me, a lot of pressure has been lifted. Hopefully they’ll release more decisions at midnight tonight. Good luck!

xtheswedx make sure you check the right place. I woke up to no emails on my personal email address which I thought I would’ve been updated through; then checked my.ucsc and no new messages; then checked student services and saw I was admitted.

yea Larinaga edited my post. Still seen it though haha

@larinaga Tags would be nice haha! ah happy times

Good luck to everyone still waiting.

I’m just wondering, am I the only two year transfer here? (Only 19 years old, graduated high school in 2011) I know three years is average now, but somehow I did it, my counselor thought I couldn’t do it either.

I got into UCR for mathematics. However nothing from UCSC. Any suggestions on where to check? There is nothing under My Student Center and nothing under View Application Status. Just wondering when I would find out.

@ChronoCross I am actually a one year transfer. However currently awaiting on results from UCs.

Nice! I’ve got accepted to UCSC, but I haven’t heard from UCR yet.

@Chrono I’m a two year as well graduated in 11, just turned 20. Our roommates are going to hate us because they wont be able to have alcohol in the room because of us lol.

Computer Science major here, still waiting on a decision. I’m actually a 4 year transfer because I switched my major about 9384864 times. I heard that in the US the average transfer rate for community college students is 5-7 years, so by those standards I’m actually overachieving! I’m proud of myself XD

Phys! Transferring as a CS major is pretty great! Especially in only four years, I know Engineering, Science and Computer Science majors are the longest.

and RANDAL LOOOL. YAY another 2011! Dude I’m pretty sure they’d just bring alcohol anyways LOL

CS is awesome, but bloody tough. Especially the math classes…they make me so damn miserable lol. If I started college knowing exactly what I wanted to do, I would have been out in 3 years. That’s alright though, hopefully things will work out in the end.
