Anyone else got screwed over when submitting their application with an error? I was forced to press the back button and tried to submit again, but now it says I have already submitted the waiver. I know my waiver submission was unsuccessful because I did not receive an email afterwards. I emailed Wells Fargo Student Insurance services now and have to wait 5 days to see what’s up. All I can do is wait and hopefully my waiver gets accepted before the deadline. Letting others know just in case people are planning to submit their waivers last minute like I did…
I would submit an appeal just in case since this takes some time to process also. Same thing happened to my son 2 years ago and he submitted his appeal with the needed documentation for the waiver.
What do I do if my waiver is denied?
Answer: If your waiver is denied because you made an error when inputting your information, you can file an Appeal of Waiver Denial form with the Insurance Services department within 15 business days of your waiver denial. This process can take some time, so it is recommended that you pay all fees, including your UC SHIP fee, so that you will not get dropped for non-payment. If your appeal is approved, your student account will be credited the UC SHIP fee.
@00CPP00chemE We made a mistake and sent an appeal. They approved it the next day. I think the five days is to cover them in case they get swamped. If concerned, give them a call. They are very helpful on the phone.
Thanks for the help everyone! I called them today and I was notified that my waiver was already approved in their system.
