I'm currently finishing my UNDERGRADUATE HEALTH INSURANCE FEE (USHIP) WAIVER APPLICATION. However, on the question "If this insurance is through your parents, at what age will it terminate? AN INACCURATE ANSWER MAY RESULT IN DENIAL OF YOUR WAIVER APPLICATION," they only give me the option of writing in a two-digit number. My dad is working at a state institution which provides health coverage as long as he's employed. Has someone successfully waived it yet. If yes, what age did you put in? Thanks for any help.

i successfully waived it and my insurance terminates when i turn 25 so thats what i put

Successfully waived. Same as softballchic, through age 24.

how long does it take for it to get waived? i was on vacation and just got back and forgot the deadline was on september 5th :(

I just submitted my waiver application. I hope it goes through. The people at the health center office seemed angry when I called and told me to just submit it before I could ask any other questions. Anyone submit it late and had it approved? Thanks

me too i submitted it late. How long does it take?

It took them less than a week to send you the verification e-mail.

If we don't get the conformation by the Sept 15 deadline, we'd better pay the USHIP along with the other fees. Is it easy to get the money back?

I called again earlier health insurance office, and the lady I spoke to on the phone with at the said to wait until Sept 15 to see if you're USHIP application was approved. And if it isn't approved, then just pay on Monday. She said that we need to ask the central cashier about how to get a reimbursement check from the school, so I'm going to call them tomorrow and ask. Also, she said that she the office was still working on applications that were actually sent in on the day of the deadline (Sept 5), which means that the ones that were sent late might not finish on time :(..When did you submit yours?

I submitted mine after you.....

wanttoyell,

I called the health insurance office to ask how long it would take for it to get approved, and they asked for my student ID number and said that it was just approved. Try calling them, and hopefully they'll approve yours too. Their number is (949) 824-5301.

Thanks lblaod.

I checked. It has been approved. Took them only one day.

Good thing I didn't yell !!
