<p>Do the UCs take teacher recs?</p>
<p>more clearly…are they required for admission? if so how many, and are they submitted online or through mail?</p>

<p>No teacher recs for UC’s.</p>
<p>I know when my son was asked to apply for a UCLA regents scholarship (a letter sent to the top 1% of the applicant pool) they asked for recs then. But not before.</p>
<p>UCs do NOT require letters of recommendation. In fact, that is clearly stated on its admission website. They will not consider them. They will not waste their time to read through them. Period.</p>
