I went from UCR to a CC and will be applying next year to another UC.
Does my gpa from UCR get included when I apply or is it only my gpa from CC?

I believe it includes it because it is part of your 60 unit requirement.
I was going to do the same thing as you but I was afraid that I wouldn’t get the classes I wanted. What major are you trying to do? Also, are you going to get classes for your CC since you will have 0 units??

Business Information Management or Econ at the moment
I started at the CC this year actually but it was hard to get classes so I’m stuck an extra year.
It’s hard if you need to get prereqs out of the way.
I have 45 at UCR and 38 at my CC for a total of 83.
The limit to transferring is 120 so i’ll be around there when I transfer.

oo ic… I was going to do that but too much risk for me since I will have 0 unit when I go back to CC… Also just got into honors program that might boost me some chances at uc transfer. Do you know if for econ u need to take 9a 9b 9c or 9a 9b 10a?

idk how the system at your UC works but I think its just macro and micro

no i meant for Calc lol. I go to UCR too

9a and 9b lol

I went from Sonoma State University my first semester then to a community college in SD and now I am transferring to UCSD in the fall. Only 4 units transferred from SSU so I took the rest (56 units) at a community college.

You just have to be careful on which units will transfer. I would talk to a counselor.

i went to UCSC last year now at a community college and will be hopefully transferring to UCLA. I was told that all credits go through. However your GPA from your community college will not be with you when you start at your new UC. However since we went to a UC already, that gpa will stick with us. So essentially we start off with whatever gpa we had when we left the first UC.

^ are you sure?? omg I hope that is not true!! My gpa when I went to my ssu was terrible. But when I went to CCC it got so much better. I thought our gpa’s started over once you transfer??

Edit: I just saw that you wrote that the UC gpa will transfer…I went to a CSU, so does this not apply for me?

Lisc did you even read his post? He said if you attended a UC first. You attended SSU first which last time I checked is not a UC.

^he’s talking about uc’s. ssu isn’t a uc

I’m talking about UC’s. However you should always talk your school counselor and call the school you want to go to and ask them as well. It is better to hear from counselors than college confidential haha

@Quentin13
I realized he said UC’s and corrected myself. I am not an idot and am aware that SSU is not a UC. Thanks.
